New details around BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo Revealed

BMW insider Scott27 reveals other details about the the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo yet again; a concept that came to life back in 2010. Based on the successful, yet controversial 5 Series GT, this vehicle will offer similar attributes and design ideas as the bigger GT, but with a more attractive and sleeker lines.

BMW insider Scott27 reveals that the 3 Series GT will offer a simple hatch function forgoing the twin trunk arrangement on the 5 Series GT. BMW intends to offer both turbocharged petrol and diesel four cylinder engines. For the high-end 3 Series GT, a choice of six cylinders and a hybrid drivetrain will be available. The xDrive, BMW’s all-wheel-drive platform, will be optional as well.

The 3 Series GT is expected to hit the market in 2013, with a concept debut in 2012.
