BMW insiders say that the BMW X4 is already under the development process. This small Sports Activity Coupe is expected to be revealed in 2012. The X4 would share most hardware and interior parts with the X3 and will be exclusively built at the Spartanburg plant in South Carolina. It will be a small four-seater, a downsized version of the X6 Sports Activity Coupe. Sources say the BMW X4 will be offered with various 4- and 6-cylinder engines, and eventually a hybrid version. The production version of the X4 will hit the market in 2014. Here is the latest rendering of the BMW X4.
