The BMW 1 Series M Coupe is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged, direct-injected inline-six engine delivering an impressive 340 horsepower at 5,900rpm and 332lb-ft of torque from 1,500-4,500rpm. It also features a computer-controlled over-boost function that allows a peak twist to 369 horsepower under full-throttle acceleration. Due to a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission with dry-sump system for cooling, the vehicle accelerates from 0-60mph in just 4.7 seconds.
Starting January 2011, the BMW 1 Series M Coupé will be available for booking at Munich Automobiles, the only exclusive M dealership in the world. The BMW 1 Series M Coupé will also be a limited production unit, and only 20 units have been allotted for Singapore. Well equipped standard units are sold at an estimated price of SGD220,000 without COE.
