AC Schnitzer in Geneva: ACS5 Sport S and lightweight Z4 Coupé 99d (E89)

AC Schnitzer, the world renowned German tuner, will join the Geneva Motor Show next week with an interesting range of vehicles. They are expected to unveil two different vehicles: the ACS5 Sport S and the AC Schnitzer 99d.

The ACS5 Sport S is a sporty interpretation of the BMW 5 Series F10. From the BMW 550i’s factory 407 horsepower, AC Schnitzer tunes it up to an impressive 540 horsepower. It will accelerate from 0 -62 mph in only 4.5 seconds, top speed is at 320 km/h. The peak torque climbs to 750Nm. The performance of this vehicle could measure up to the levels of the next M5. The power was increased, but the consumption remains the same.

The AC Schnitzer 99d is a lightweight project based on the current BMW Z4 Roadster. 99 represents the CO2 emissions of the vehicle. The factory 163 horsepower turbo diesel was brought to 190 horsepower and transplanted into the Z4. The Z4 was converted to replace the metal folding roof for an even better power to weight ratio. Overall, the vehicle weight savings were 230 kilograms. The car accelerates from0-62 mph is in 6.9 seconds, top speed is 235 km/h. The standard consumption is 3.8 liters diesel.
