First Photo – BMW M5 F10 Engine

Here is a photo of the BMW M5 F10 engine from M5board. Though no technical specifications have been released, it has been revealed that the 2012 BMW M5 will be powered by an updated version of the S63 engine found in the BMW X5 M and X6 M. This engine (4.4-liter V8 twin-scroll powerplant) delivers 570 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque. The 0-62 mph dash should take about 4.4 seconds. Compared to the previous engine, this powerplant will offer increased efficiency and performance. Because of its advancements, it offers significant reduction in fuel consumption and lower the emission levels by 25%. The new 2012 BMW M5 will make its official debut in June and will be showcased at the 3-day M Festival at Nurburgring.
