BMW has filed the trademark for M2

1Addicts reports that BMW AG has filed for an M2 trademark, which means that there is a possibility for a model with this badge to appear in the future. Though not all trademarks filed in the past have been used by BMW, it is still interesting to know the reason why the filed for this one.

Last December, rumors of a possible M2 vehicle has been circulating. Since the new BMW 2 Series family has been confirmed already, the M2 might just fit in the same family. If this badge will be used, automobile journalists expect it to be introduced in the market not later than 2015.
