Cars in Westlake, California has announced that they will be building 10
limited edition BMW M5s which will be powered by twin turbos that will reach
a top speed of 240mph (386km/hr).
The BMW M5 engine, a V10 block has been modified by CMC founder, Ron Cash to
allow twin-turbos and a custom hand built intercooler system to pump out a staggering
810bhp, that’s right, eight hundred and ten horsepower, up from the base stock
of 500bhp. The turbos are placed not in the bonnet, but surprisingly under the
rear bumper, replacing the stock siliencers. Transmission remains untouched,
which consists of a 7 speed Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) system.
Honestly we’re quite surprised that it can handle this increase in power…but
time will tell.
Interior wise, there is a over indulgence of extragravance, where the stock
leather is replaced with aniline dyed florida crocodile, both in the seats and
steering wheel. Fitted none other by the cofounder himself, Mr. Judy Amic-Angelo.
Each modified BMW M5 expects to sell for about 350,000 USD. Sounds like the
ultimate powerhouse, sleeper style. Awesome.
