Featured is BMW’s new regenerative braking system, coined the Brake Energy Regeneration. aims to harness the energy currently lost through engine over-run during braking. An intelligent alternator engages and charges the battery to full juice unlike traditional systems which doesn’t make use of this lost energy. While not only benefitting your battery, it also reduces engine drag by engaging and charging when neccessary, while reducing CO2 and fuel consumption around 3 percent.
