TopSpeed gives us a spy photo of a BMW ActiveHybrid 3 test mule spotted around Munich and at the famous Nurburgring race track. This is BMW’s first hybrid version of the popular 3 Series model and is expected to launch in 2013 and will make its debut next year at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The BMW ActiveHybrid 3 is rumored to have a 3.0 liter six-cylinder turbocharged TwinPower engine aided by an electrical engine to deliver an additional 40 kW (about 53 horsepower). No other details are known at the moment.
