Spy Photo: New BMW X5 F15

In 2013, a facelift for the BMW X5 is scheduled and spy photographers may have had the first glimpse of the prototype. Vroom, a Belgian Magazine, spotted this F15 X5 prototype in Germany while performing some testing. It is wearing a heavy camouflage and fake plastic body parts to hide its real design. Rumor has it that the new 2013 BMW X5 will have more flowing character lines and sculpted surfaces which will widen the design offerings of the X fleet. Sources say that thus vehicle will feature the ActiveHybrid technology with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder diesel engine for the first time. The internal combustion engine is aided by a 15 kilowatt electric motor that ads another 17 horsepower on top of the 204 already delivered by the diesel power unit.
