BMW uses Free Auto Maintenance Program to retain Customers

BMW and MINI are leading the way of providing free auto maintenance programs to their customers. Many automakers are now using the same strategy to lure customers. But among all automakers who provide free auto maintenance, it is still BMW’s Ultimate Service that ranked as the most comprehensive free maintenance program of all.

The BMW Ultimate Service is provided for the first 4 years of ownership, or the first 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes brake pads, rotors, wiper blades, oil service and other wearable and costly parts. Mini offers the same maintenance program but only for the first three years of ownership.

BMW NA Communication Manager Tom Kowaleski says that a good 97% of BMW customers actually take advantage of the perks of having free auto maintenance. This is also a good way to maintain the customer trust and retention.
