BMW X4 rumored to debut at 2013 Detroit Auto Show

AutoWeek reports that the BMW X4 will debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January, but it will be in concept form. The production version will launch later in 2014. The car will be built under the code name F26. The platform will be shared with the new X3. In terms of price, it is below the X5. Rumors say that the X4 is 4.65 meters long (183 inches), same length as the F25 X and will be designed with a dynamic and sportier look, courtesy of a swooping roofline. The engine options is rumored to be the same as the X3. BMW will begin production of the X4 later this year at the Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, according to the same publication.
