Spy Photos – 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible at Nurburgring

The news generation BMW 6 Series will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this September. The design cues of this vehicle is closely inspired by the Gran Coupe Concept. What makes it different from current 6 Series? It is longer and a bit wider.

These photos of the 2012 BMW 6 Series were taken at the Nurburgring, where the BMW engineers are continuing testing before its debut. The car still has camouflage and by now, it is quite obvious that only a soft top version will be offered.

Pistonspy was able to spot three different models of the 6 Series: one 650 model and two 640 Coupe and Convertibles.
The BMW 650i is has a 4.8 liter V8 engine capable of 360 hp and 360 lbs-ft of torque.

No official details have been revealed for the 640i badge, but it will most likely have a 6 cylinder twin-turbo engine capable of 315hp and 330 lbs-ft of torque.
