BMW is the official limousine for ASEAN Summit 2014 in Myanmar

Up to 95 BMW premium limousines will serve as official cars for leaders and delegates.

Yangon. BMW Asia and Prestige Automobiles (BMW’s authorised importer in Myanmar) today jointly announced their fleet sponsorship of the ASEAN Summit 2014, which will be held in Myanmar for the first time, as a two-part event which will take place in May and November 2014 respectively.

A fleet of up to 95 units comprising the flagship BMW 7 Series, the BMW 5 Series executive sedan and the premium BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle, will be deployed to chauffeur various ASEAN leaders and delegates attending the event in May and November 2014.

The ASEAN Summit 2014 will serve as a dedicated platform for ASEAN leaders to congregate and discuss key topics in promoting growth, collaboration, peace and stability across the Southeast Asia region.

The sponsorship marks the third consecutive year that BMW reprises its role as the official limousine for the prestigious ASEAN Summit, with the previous ones being held in Cambodia and Brunei in 2012 and 2013 respectively. This also brings the tally of BMW vehicles dedicated to the ASEAN Summit over the past years to more than 500 vehicles since commencing the sponsorship in 2012.

When reached for comments, Mr Neil Fiorentinos, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia said: “We are very pleased to be sponsoring the ASEAN Summit for the third consecutive year. As the world’s leading premium automotive brand, we constantly strive to maintain our focus on excellence, innovation as well as design, and this is evident in every BMW limousine.
