BMW M2 to unveil at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show?

The BMW M2, successor to the BMW 1M Coupe is rumored to be unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, with production beginning in November 2015. It is scheduled to go on sale in early 2016.

The F87 BMW M2 will be having newly styled front and rear bumpers, front wings, sills, boot lid and standard 19-inch M wheels. The overall weight plans ask for a limited of 1530 kg, lighter than the current M235i. It features a carbon fiber strut brace within the engine bay (as seen on the M3/M4) and composite plastic panels. It is expected to be powered by an N55 TwinPower 3.0 liter engine (N55B30T0) with 370 horsepower, with 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds.
