BMW Group appoints Allianz Global Assistance to provide Roadside Assistance in Singapore.

Singapore. BMW Group Asia has appointed Allianz Global Assistance to be the operator of Roadside Assistance services rendered to its BMW, BMW M, BMW i, MINI and Rolls-Royce customers locally.

“Roadside Assistance offers a complete suite of services and network of competent specialists using the most innovative service technology for this purpose. From pre-empting the needs of our customers in the unfortunate incident of a breakdown, to the skilled technicians from Allianz
Global Assistance representing our Roadside Assistance services locally, our aim is to get customers back on the road within the shortest possible time and with the least disruption experienced,” said Mr. Axel Pannes, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia.

Customers can rely on qualified support and assistance very quickly in the rare case of a technical defect or any other kind of breakdown. In the event of a breakdown, Roadside Assistance can be accessed directly via the vehicle’s iDrive menu, which automatically transfers the position of the affected vehicle to the respective call centre specialists. The specialists will then retrieve any further details needed to identify the cause of the defect and, where possible, remedy the fault by remote services.

Two units of BMW X1 Sports Activity Vehicles that don the Service Mobiles’ silver-white bodywork, will come to the rescue with professional equipment including special tools, tyres, and batteries for jump start facilitation, if required.

As a vehicle owner of any BMW, BMW M, BMW i, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles in Singapore, customers are entitled to the Roadside Assistance package, which offers lifetime phone assistance and organisational support, as well as comprehensive mobility services for five years after the first registration date, at no cost during this period.
