BMW Contemporary

The BMW Group is once again showing their support of art and the Middle East culture enrichment by launching BMW Contemporary. Determined to spark imagination and curiosity, BMW’s online episodes will serve a venue for artists and collectors to discuss and showcase their respective collections. These will be featured in BMW Group Middle East’s social media channels for the whole year.

“The Art of 7” is the title of the first episode and it focuses around the famous Art Consultant and Curator Ali Khadra, and internationally acclaimed Egyptian artist Youssef Nabil, and a Kuwait based art lover and collector Sheikha Paula Mubarak Al Sabah.

BMW Brand Management, Marketing Services and Event Manager for BMW Group Middle East, Christina Heidlberger said: “The BMW Group has been involved in supporting various arts and cultural platforms for more the 40 years, with hundreds of initiatives taking place worldwide. Here in the Middle East, we are committed to fostering this association and actively seek opportunities to nurture and support regional talent. We believe that BMW Contemporary does just that. It is a great showcase of how creativity knows no boundaries, and we hope that each of the episodes’ artists spark interest and inspire people across the region.”

BMW has always had this sense of cultural commitment and they believe that they can do more than just being a car company: “As a car company, we see many synergies with the Art & Culture world. We both strive for innovation, and creativity in many respects be it design or how we engage with our audiences,” Heidlberger said.
