BMW M2 Achieves 1:12.2 Lap Time in Hockenheim

The BMW M2 keeps breaking its own records. Only last month, the car achieved a lap time of 1:12.5 minutes on the Hockenheim track, and after Sport Auto brought it back, the new record is 1:12.2.

To compare, the M4 Coupe was a bit slower on the same track, reaching the goal in 1:12.8 minutes. Even the BMW E90 CRT was slower – record time 1:13.6 minutes – so this is a great success for an M2.

The M2 didn’t manage to go faster than the Porsche Cayman GT4 (1:10.1), but it left Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG, Audi RS3, and Ford Mustang GT behind.
