For this summer, BMW announced 2 new models – the M140i Hatchback and M240i Coupe/Convertible.
The models will be similar to the new 340i and the announced 440i and X4 M40i in terms of horsepower – they will deliver 340 HP.
The M235i, which is the current model, has an N55 six-cylinder M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline powerplant. It delivers 326 HP and needs 5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. Last year, the M 135i hatchback got a 6 HP upgrade resulting in 326 HP and 450 Nm of torque.
Transmission choices will be a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.
BMW M240i Coupe and Convertible will be sold in the USA, while the BMW M140i Hatchback will be sold in Europe.
