The new BMW M5, announced for 2018, was spied doing some test runs at the Nurburgring.

Though it was heavily camouflaged, it was quite obvious that it is, in fact, the new M5, and not the 5 Series model. The most obvious details that helped us recognize the model were the front apron and quad exhausts.

Judging by the sound the car made on the track, we assume that the BMW will keep using the 4.4-liter Twin TurboCharged V8 engine. Thanks to the modernization of materials used, the new M5 will be significantly lighter so the driver will get to handle it a lot easier.

The performance details of this model are still unknown, but we can certainly expect a powerful, aggressive vehicle with a great sound.
