Image Comparo: BMW M760Li vs Porsche Panamera

The recently unveiled second iteration of the Porsche Panamera sedan has been receiving mixed reviews. The design of this car turned many heads, including BMW fans. Under its new skin, it looks superior and definitely better than its predecessor. Recently, Porsche’s luxury sedan has been compared to BMW models such as the M5, M6 Gran Coupe and 7 Series. Bimmertoday thought that it also made sense to compare it to the highest performing sedan in the BMW fleet — it being the same one in the Porsche lineup. Here’s an image comparo between the 2017 Porsche Panamera and the 2016 BMW M760Li xDrive.

The two cars are not competing in the same segment. The M760Li is larger and more luxurious, but both are at the top of their respective lineups. They also offer almost the same performance.

In terms of looks, the cars are very different yet both good looking. The Porsche Panamera is sleek, sporty, smooth, and looks a bit like a four-door-911. On the other hand, the BMW M760Li is larger, more expensive looking and luxurious, with a very spacious back seat. The latter definitely looks more powerful. The Panamera looks very similar to the 991 on the rear and it improved a lot in from the last iteration. BMW has remained true to the 7 Series look and is dynamic and sharp.

Both cars have great looking interiors. In terms of style the cabin look is actually very similar to each other.

The BMW M760Li is powered by a 6.6 liter twin-turbo V12 engine delivering 600 hp. Sprint from 0-60 mph is achieved in 3.9 seconds.
