Check out this new customised BMW i8 from BMW Abu Dhabi. This project adds to the many unique cars that the dealership has created and published on the interwebs in the past. This particular BMW i8 hybrid sportscar stuns in a wide array of aero parts plus a special Lava Yellow color that completely enhances the looks of the car.
The Lava Yellow paint is stunning; especially since it is paired with black accents to achieve an even more exotic look. Other upgrades include CFRP front and side sill attachments and oversized carbon fiber rear wing.
Only the appearance of the car has changed. BMW Abu Dhabi did not touch anything related to enhancing the power of the BMW i8. Even if they wanted to, it is quite hard to do so. The BMW i8 is powered by a plug-in hybrid system with a turbocharged three-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine. It also has the BMW eDrive technology in the form of an electric drive system. Performance-wise, the 1.5-liter combustion engine delivers 170 kW/231 hp driving from the rear wheels. The 96 kW/131 hp electric drive sends its power to the front wheels and allows an all-electric range of up to 35 kilometers (22 miles). Top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).
BMW UK will also be offering BMW Individual colors for the BMW i8 hybrid sportscar soon. The color collection will be priced above £5,495 in this UK for a choice between the following colors: Speed Yellow, Java Green, Solar Orange, Frozen Grey, Twilight Purple Pearl, San Marino Blue, Frozen Black and Grigio Telesto Pearl. Non-metallic, metallic or Xirallic finishes will also be available.
