The BMW M2 is one of the best driving cars in history. It is also a big plus that it is actually priced quite affordably. With the kind of performance it brings, it gives great value for money. Most tuners also find this a good opportunity to work on enhancing this car. Aerodynamic and performance enhancements have been added by various tuners. In terms of sound, that’s where the battle of tuners become fierce. With Akrapovic recently unveiling their M2 exhaust system which sounds really awesome, it is tough to beat. Remus takes a knack at this. Listen to what they have produced here:
Akrapovic’s version was great; some notes are even better than BMW’s own M Performance kit. This Remus challenger falls quite short.
Remus is actually known to produce some of the best exhaust systems in the market. They’ve built a great reputation in terms of sound and quality. For the M2, they added a performance improvement of 8.7 extra horsepower and 11.8 Nm of torque. Though it gained a power, the sound was not quite as good as Akrapovic’s.
Both Remus and Akrapovic systems are made of titanium. Both also look quite similarly good. However, Aktapovic’s is twice as expensive as the Remus. Which one would you choose?
