While the popular BMW 5 Series is slowly becoming outdated, BMW is preparing an update for 2017. After six years, the new version of the 5 Series Touring will be presented at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Since the design is still unknown, we must rely on render works by various artists. Today we present the RM Design’s rendering.
The new 5er will, obviously, get a lot of features the current one has. This includes the large kidney grille set on the front with the headlights on both sides.
As for the back, the taillights are likely to be copied from the 7 Series’ design, probably without the chrome bars. On this rendering, you can see that the artist picked the taillights that resemble those on the X6.
We expect that many parts come with OLED technology in order for the new BMW 5 Series to be competitive with the E-Class by Mercedes-Benz.
