Video: BMW M4 GTS in a 255 km/h Sprint

The BMW M4 GTS is the fastest car the German automaker has ever put in production. It has also clocked as the fastest among BMW cars in a Nurburgring lap. Initially, the numbers seemed too good to be true. However, as journalists from around the globe drove and tested the car, it didn’t take long to convince everyone that this is real. The M4 GTS is really a blazing fast car, whether on the road or on track. Take it in a straight line or go around corners, it is still the fastest. See the car in a 255 km/h sprint on this video:

As a car capable of almost 500 horsepower, BMW claims that the car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds. The M4 GTS can also reach a top speed of 305 km/h (189 mph). It will require a track before seeing these actual number in the dashboard – or if you live near an unrestricted Autobahn in Germany.

It is not usual to see German cars go more than 250 km/h (155 mph) limiter since it has been enforced in their roads. The video below provides a sneak peek at how fast the usual limited would be exceeded. This one accelerated from standstill to 255 km/h (158 mph) in less than 23 seconds! It’s enough to make us wonder if breaking 300 km/h (186 mph) would take more than 30 seconds.

In any case, the BMW M4 GTS is can sprint well in curves but also on a straight line. It does deliver what people pay for it and of course, what the water injection cooling system promises. It is up to the driver to really know how to control the rear axle in order to unlock the potential of this car. Otherwise, it can be tricky to handle.
