BMW To Stop Delivering 202 Cars Due to Differential Issues

This week, BMW announced that they will stop delivering 202 cars because some issues have been found on the rear differential. Though the future owners who are on the waiting list might be disappointed, it’s the right decision. BMW is a serious company and they don’t want to risk someone’s life on purpose. Releasing the cars who are known to be flawed would be utterly irresponsible.

202 Cars

202 cars are affected by this decision, including the following M models: M2, M3, F82 M4 Coupe, F83 M4 Convertible, and M5 and M6 in both Coupe and Convertible. There are also some 5 Series sedans and 6 Series Convertible, Coupe, and Gran Coupe. We don’t have more details about what’s exactly wrong with the rear differentials, but BMW states that they will have to replace them completely.

The waiting continues for the people who ordered some of these models. Being safe will pay off in the end, and it’s definitely better than getting a malfunctioning vehicle.
