In the world of certified supercars, Lamborghini Huracan is on the top list. It is the successor of the Gallardo, which previously held the title of king in this category. Because of the Huracan’s looks and performance figures, it is easily Lamborghini’s top seller. Can a BMW E30 M3 win against it on a drag race?
First of all, this particular M3 is not a regular one. It is not powered by the S14 engine. Instead, it is equipped with a S85 – a 5-liter V10 engine channelling the power to the rear wheels. It is quite a challenge to squeeze this engine typically found on the E60 M5 into the engine bay of a smaller E30 M3, but the owner of this car made it happen. He even added a power bump to produce a total of around 535 HP. Thus, this M3 has a lot in common with the Huracan now, which is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine delivering 610 HP.
The Lamborghini may have more power, better due to its all-wheel drive system, a crazy-fast 7-speed DCT gearbox, but the BMW M3 gave it a close fight. It was surprising that it was a really close drag race. The lighter BMW still impresses, even if the competitor won.
