BMW has really impressed the car enthusiast world with the BMW M2. Though it has a sleek coupe body, it drives and feels like a supercar. It give the driver extreme fun with an amazing performance and handling. Carwow wanted to find out if there much difference between the M2 and a regular 2 series. Is the BMW M2 capable of winning against the Porsche Cayman, Lotus Exige or Audi TTS rivals? Is it really deserving of all the praise it has been getting? Is it a new legend? Find out on this video:
In the video above, Mat Watson takes the BMW M2 to a 4k review. Just like the other reviews, it says more good things about the car. To be honest, the BMW M2 is hard to fault.
Watson really enjoyed driving the M2 around an abandoned air field. From the video alone, we can see how much fun he had and it makes us want to experience the same. The review proves that the M2 is easy to use and approachable at the limit.
In short, it doesn’t require mad driving skills to push to the limit. If you did the same thing on an M4, well, it is bordering on dangerous. Watson is seen here simply flinging the M2 around and it stays neutral, balanced and safe.
Despite all the action happening, the M2 allows for the driver to stay relaxed. Watson is even seen laughing multiple times. This is how M cars of the past were and it’s very refreshing to see this revived in the M2. The M Division really tuned on their playful quality once again.
If we’re looking for things that BMW can improve on for this coupe, the cheap plastics on the underside of the glovebox will make it to the list. Sometimes, the engine noise feels fake as well. However, these are all just minor concerns and will most likely be resolved in the next iteration.
