BMW 340i M Sport Review by The Smoking Tire

The BMW 340I recently received a new B58 engine replacing the beloved N55. While people loved the old engine, B58 is said to be way better and is reflective of the future of BMW engines. It is indeed more powerful, more efficient, runs cooler and even the sound is better. Does this great engine also mean that the BMW 340i M Sport is also a good replacement for the 335i? Find out in this review by The Smoking Tire:

The Smoking Tire’s Matt Farah did a one take review of the BMW 340i M Sport and it was funny that he didn’t even know it got a new engine. It does get a bit confusing at some point. When he was informed that it has a new engine, the review started to make sense.

Even just after take-off Farah realizes how fast the new BMW 340i is. 0-60 mph is achieved in around 4.8 seconds, thanks to the way the B58 puts power down. The driver will not feel any difficulty in driving. There is also no feeling that the car is stressed all throughout its rev range. Pulling all the way to redline is clean, unlike the N55 which experiences a bit of a drop.

This particular car also looks better because the owner added the option M Sport package and the Track Handling package. The Estoril Blue paint matches really well with the black 18″ wheels. The interior is sporty and looks fantastic with alcantara trim on the dash that reads “M Performance”.

Overall, the Smoking Tire was definitely impressed and calls this car a great daily driver.
