Chris Harris of Top Gear buys a BMW 1M

Chris Harris, a known petrolhead and car expert from Top Gear, buys a BMW 1M. The one he bought was a Jet Black BMW 1 Series M Coupe. This was confirmed after he posted photos in his social media accounts. He also has an E28-generation BMW M5.

In his tweet of a photo of his new 1M, he says that he is in love with the car. The baby M is not hard to love anyway. It has a great stance, flared wheel arches and quad exhausts. Harris also confesses that he has always wanted to buy a 1M. He actually buys one because he is a fan of the car, even if he had to shed out a huge amount of money for it. The 1M sells a lot more than what the cost was when it was brand new. This also proves how much value the car gained in just a few years. It is definitely a classic and a collector’s item.

To add, Harris says that he likes the 1M better than the M2. Its 3.0 liter 335 hp, 370 lb-ft turbocharged I6 engine is bold and exciting. The M2 is easier to drive, but that’s not really the preference of people like Harris who drive and review cars for a living. Plus, he likes to slide around in cars.
