Video: Pennzoil BMW Joyride Behind-The-Scenes

Pennzoil’s Airlift Drift and Prequel short clips were prequels for the 2016 commercial starring the BMW M6 Coupe. In this behind-the-scenes look, Rhys Millen took the M6 for a joyride in the Canadian tundra resulting to a very memorable video.

The videos show why Pennzoil chose the Northern Canadian Rockies to showcase the BMW M6 coupe around on the ice and snow. The Kananaskis Mountain Range is truly incredible — with peaks ranging as high as 10,390 ft above sea level and a frigid climate cold enough to put a motor oil’s viscosity and a car’s engine to the limit.

In these videos, it was really epic to see the car drifting on top of a frozen lake, mashing the throttle of a 560 HP beast and tearing through high banks of snow. We don’t typically get to see much of these road conditions and that made the video very famous.
