The new BMW M240i faces off with its rival, the Porsche Cayman 718, in this video by Autobild. This is a battle between a traditional 2+2 sports car and a 2-seat coupe. In terms of price, there is a big difference though! The 2017 BMW M240i is around $10,000 cheaper than the Cayman in the US. Check out if it is worth the extra ten grand:
The Cayman is powered by a 2.0 liter flat-four engine delivering 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the BMW M240i is powered by the all-new B58 3.0 liter six-cylinder turbo engine with 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both are extremely powerful cars.
From the first look at the specs, the BMW M240i should be the faster car here. However, weight also plays a factor. The Cayman weighs only 2950-3050 lb, while the M240i is actually significantly heavier at 3499-3519 lbs.
