[Video] Petrolicious Features the 1972 BMW 3.0 CS Coupe

The BMW 3.0 CSL is a legend that has made its mark on history. It has become one of the most iconic BMW cars after winning the 24 Hours of Sebring. Arguably, it is one of the greatest BMW cars of all time. However, there is an underrated car that also deserves the same attention: the BMW 3.0 CS Coupe. Check out this video as Petrolicious features the CSL’s baby brother.

As seen in the video, the 1972 BMW 3.0 CS Coupe is a very stylish car. The particular vehicle featured here is owned by someone who has an incredible story as well: Tom McComas Senior. When he was about to buy the car at a dealership, his pregnant wife’s water broke and he had to suspend the sale until the next day. He ended up bringing home the car with his newborn child at the backseat.

McComas fell in love with the 3.0 CS because of its features. It made 180 hp from its 3.0 liter I6, dual-carbureted engine. With a four-speed manual transmission, it reached 0-60 mph in 7.9 seconds. It is not that fast, even during its time, but the way it drives is just magical.
