BMW and Toyota are working together on a joint sports car chassis that will be used for the BMW Z4 and Toyota Supra successors. The cars will share technology, chassis components and maybe even some details in the engine. The cars would not be identical though. BMW and Toyota will design their cars based on their different clientele bases. Seeing these two cars together winter testing makes it even more exiting!
The first car seen winter testing in the video is the Toyota Supra. The profile that we see, though hidden in fake body cladding, is one of a classic sports car. The exhaust sounds nice and raspy.
Toward the end of the video, the upcoming BMW Z4 appears and surprises us with some snow drifts. The prototype is showing how intact its classic roadster proportions are.
