450hp BMW F97 X3 M launching in 2019 with new S58 engine

In 2019, BMW will be presenting a new and very powerful M SUV. Joining the ranks of the BMW X5 M and X6 M is the F97 BMW X3 M. A prototype of this SUV has been spotted multiple times in testing sessions for the past months. The most exciting bit of news about this car is its new and very powerful S58 engine with upgraded hardware and a power output between 450 and 460 horsepower!

This new engine is based on the S55 3.0 liter six-cylinder unit found in the M3/M4, but better.

In terms of looks, we expect the front-end of the X3 M present to be flatter but more muscular than the predecessor. It will also wear a new set of LED headlights plus a character line that runs from the front wheel arch on both door handles to the rear lights. Those lights will also be using full LED technology.

Expect the F97 X3 M to have the usual M design, with an aggressive front fascia including a sculpted bumper and large air curtains. It also has flared wheel arches and a lower stance. The rear will have quad tailpipes integrated into the sporty bumper that has been redesigned and sporty bumper.

After the X3 M, the F98 X4 M will also follow suit.
