[Rendering] Future BMW i5

We’ll soon see another car from the BMW i family under the i5 name. While we still don’t have any official important info, such as the release date, the rumors say the car is farther along in development than it was believed till recently and that we might actually see it very soon.

The new i5 will not be built upon either i3 or i8. It will, in fact, resemble ‘regular’ BMW cars more. Ian Robertson, BMW’s board member, recently revealed: 

Having recently had the final design review, you can assume that it’s a bigger car rather than a smaller one, and you can assume that the packaging for the next generation of batteries has to be accommodated in such a way that gives the car a certain proportion.
