For starters, E21 BMW 3 Series builds are not very common, especially lately. However, this doesn’t mean that it isn’t nice to tune. It actually makes it easy for tuners because of its light weight, low cost and friendly chassis. Check out this 1000 hp BMW 323iE21 that’s capable of beating a Lamborghini Aventador in a drag race.
The video does show a rolling drag race. It will be very tough for an E21 to beat a Lambo in a standard quarter-mile. The all-wheel drive Aventador is a different beast in its own right. It has far more mechanical grip, clever launching software and a snappy sequential-manual gearbox which will make it very easy to beat an E21 3 Series, regardless of how much power it has.
Though the E21 did have a hard time catching up with the Lambo before it wins eventually, this video just goes to show how endless the tuning possibilities are.
