BMW i8 Roadster To Double the Electric Range Compared to i8

We’re anxious for the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show where BMW will unveil the second i8 model – the i8 Roadster. Before the official unveiling, BMW is hosting a road show across the world presenting the i8 (among other new models) to VIP exclusive crowd.

The Roadster was shown at such an event in Belgium last week. Along with the new model comes a new color – Electric Copper – and some more exciting features. The new i8 will have a soft top which folds into the rear seats and can be opened in 14 seconds at up to 60 km/h speed. The driving range will be increased. Compared to the fist i8, the Roadster will have a double capacity battery, which means it will have a double driving range on electric power only. BMW still hasn’t shared the exact figures.
