[Spy Photos] First view of the BMW X7 interior

We’ve only seen a concept version of the X7 but the release date is drawing near. There have also been some decent exterior spy photos so we have a pretty good idea of how it will appear on the outside. For the first time though, we get a glimpse of the X7 interior in these spy photos.

The BMW X7 is made to give the owner a luxurious experience. It will have a very fresh console. The shift lever is new and next to it you’ll see the new iDrive controller which features a knurled aluminum surround and looks much more premium than the current plastic piece. Surrounding that new controller seems to be the usual bevy of redundant iDrive buttons but underneath that are two aluminum switches, the left of which controls something unreadable but the right one seems to control the car’s ride height, which would indicate that this BMW X7 has adjustable air suspension.

The center stack also reveals a new layout for the HVAC controls. In between the main two dash vents there is a very small little screen, which may house the HVAC info. Underneath those, there are a bunch of HVAC buttons, such as fan speed, temperature and heated seat controls.

Ahead of the steering wheel lies the same new digital instrument panel as we’ve seen on every other upcoming BMW.

So far, the interior does look good. Let’s just wait for BMW to reveal more.
