The BMW 8 Series is coming and ahead of the launch a few journalists had the opportunity to take the prototype of the M850i xDrive for a first drive. Very much defined as a sports car, the new 8er is not just a Coupe version of the popular, luxurious 7 Series as you might expect but a new machine, and one that BMW have been free to define. With a number that brings back memories of the Z8, the previous 8 Series and also the i8, it’s clearly very significant.
