[Leaked] BMW M5 Competition Package Specifications

Fans were already thinking about a lighter and faster version of the new F90-generation BMW M5 when it launched. Now, new and juicy information is revealed about the BMW M5 Competition Package. The specifications came from an Australian buyer who’s already pre-ordered one from BMW of Australia. He says that the new BMW M5 Competition Package is a mighty vehicle.

Let’s start with the extra 25 horsepower that bumps the performance to 625 hp. That’s more power than the Mercedes-AMG E63 S. It has 590 lb-ft of torque though, which is a little bit shy of the AMG’s 627 lb-ft. It’s said to be one tenth quicker to 60 mph but it can be faster, as BMW has always been very conservative with these numbers.

This car gets more than just power. It also gets a new sports exhaust, with specific Comp Pack tuning that’s loud and has the proper pops and cracks. It doesn’t get the fully titanium M Performance exhaust but it does get new, sharper and lowered suspension.

Cosmetic wise, expect new Competition Package-specific wheels, black badging, black Kidney Grilles and even illuminated M5 Competition Package door sills. In this leaked photo, the BMW M5 Competition Package does look a little bit more aggressive than the standard car.
