2020 BMW M8 Convertible in Motegi Red: Astonishing as ever

The Hendrick BMW’s showroom displays the much anticipated high performance open-top BMW M8 convertible. This M8 is unveiled in a special Motegi Red shade–adding charisma to its already powerful and stylish appearance. This new, striking and interesting color wouldn’t be much of a surprise if it will be included in BMW’s ample list of red shades.

Despite not being considered as an official BMW Individual color, Motegi Red can surely come in close with some of BMW’s pricier tones like the Sakhir Orange (C1H) or the Melbourne Red (A75). It’s chameleon-like quirk is also impressive by turning into a light red shade in sunlight and a vivid, deeper red shade in a darker environment.

Furthermore, to give the M8 an even more stylish look, its interior is incorporated with the Midrand Beige upholstery which perfectly complements the beautiful red shade of the car. Also, the materials inside are absolute first class and its tech is very impressive.

The BMW M8 Competition Convertible (F91) is propelled by a 625 PS (617 hp) and a maximum torque of 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). Designed with the M xDrive chassis, it is now capable of reaching 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds. Meanwhile, the powerhouse of a standard M8 makes 600 horsepower and same 533 lb-ft of torque.

The Convertible only has the option of an eight-speed automatic transmission which powers all four wheels, similar to what the BMW M8 Coupe has. Moreover, the xDrive all-wheel system is a rear bias but can also switch to solely rear-wheel drive–an option that is also similar to the one in the BMW M5.

The 2020 BMW M8 Convertible MSRP is $142,500 while the Competition Convertible is $155,500. Its pricing, however, does not include $995 Destination.
