BMW M4 GT3: First time rolling out on the streets

The new racing car of BMW rolled out on the streets for the first time. The latest BMW M4 GT3 is now out from the BMW Group plant in Dingolfing. Significantly, this is the latest racing Bimmer to take the GT championship. Further, Augusto Farfus (BRA) was given the opportunity to drive the new car for the first time. Farfus was set to complete the relevant function tests of the new BMW M4 GT3. In addition, the BMW Motorsport engineers finished the latest GT car for a whole day. Certainly, the new racing car will ride the 2022 season. Therefore, this means that it will dethrone the BMW M6 GT3.

Next week, the first tests on the M4 GT3 will be on the track of BMW Group’s test center. This is located in the southern French community of Miramas. On the other hand, rigorous testing is being done with M4 production and race cars. Further, competitive conditions will be applied for the first races of the M4 GT3.

The work on the M4 GT3 started in 2019 with only computer simulations. Therefore, the rollout of the car in Dingolfing signifies its major development. The engine was tested last February in Munich. And it produced a whopping 500 hp. Likewise, initial tests were done in the BMW Group wind tunnel last year. That time, a 60-percent scale model of the M4 GT3 was used for initial testing.

It was in early 2020 that the first skeleton test of the BMW M4 GT3 was made. Also, it was made at the BMW Group plant in Regensburg. Then, it was only after six weeks that the test car for the rollout was produced. It was significantly assembled at the BMW Motorsport workshop.
