[Video] BMW X3 M Competition faces rivals

At long last, BMW introduced a competitor for some of the most high-end cars. With its newly launched X3 M Competition, BMW can finally give the Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV or the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S a nice match. With this in mind, the precedent job for BMW won’t be easy because of these competitors. As we know with any car, the first reviews of the vehicle tell us that it is a powerful model on track. However, there are a few setbacks that were also observed.

Despite that, the BMW X3 M is still recognized by most people to offer more performance that they would want or need. Challenging its main opponent from Stuttgart, the BMW can be seen on the video to obviously prove this. The comparison made was through a straight line acceleration competition. The video was composed of two clips instead of providing a drag race record. The two clips showed one for each car in the usual AutoTopNL way. Also, the two vehicles went all out on an open Autobahn.

Taking it from the claims of their manufacturers, the clips have shown how the two vehicles are slightly slower. From a standstill, the BMW X3 M Competition is expected to set foot on 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.

Surprisingly, the vehicle was slower with a record of 4.27 seconds. This was the result even though they witnessed some tests that were able to record faster times. Performing a dash in 3.9 seconds, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S was also slower. It was a slower record compared to what AMG claimed that it can sprint in 3.8 seconds.

For such elevated and dense models, the two vehicles continued to increase speed. It went on that it showed slightly remarkable numbers such as the triple digit territory. The BMW had 14.6 seconds, while the Mercedes had 13.92 seconds in a 0-200 km/h race or 0-124 mph. As for the 100-200 km/h or 62-124 mph, the acceleration in the AMG was 10.02 seconds and 10.33 seconds for the X3 M Competition.

Lastly, the AMG sprinted in 25.15 seconds for the 250 km/h test, while the X3 M Comp sprinted in 27.85 seconds. Although this comparison may not be enough for some to decide, it still gives that impressive result.
