The spy photographers were beaten for once by BMW. BMW M recently shot its own “spy video” for the 2022 BMW M3 Touring to advance the story. Only two weeks ago, the future M3 Sports Wagon was the headline. It is when BMW M said they wanted to bring the car to life.
We bring you a short video of the G83 M3 Touring today, courtesy of the marketing department M. The classic swirl covered up the model to hide the overall design. However, they are not unknown. From the video, you will see that the front-end replicates the one on the Sedan G80 M3 and the M4 Coupe G82.
The side view is the one you would expect from a BMW brand, with two strong lines flowing along and very rough. Of course, extra luggage and legroom will be available for back-seat passengers on the G81 M3 model.
While the details are almost definitely the same, it would be fascinating to see what kind of BMW packaging gets in terms of energy and efficiency as the Sedan. For instance, we know the M3 will be available in two varieties – Regular and Competition. There will be also a drivetrain option for both – rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
Two transmission options will also be available in regular models for back wheel driving, offering a six-speed manual and an 8-speed car. But if only an all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission is available, it won’t shock us.
The 2022 BMW M3 Touring is expected to arrive in late 2022. A short amount of time production. So we don’t expect the amount of production as high as the M3 Sedan or M4 Coupe. Also, the odds of reaching the M3 Sports Wagon close to zero if you live in the United States.
