BMW M2 Competition Wrapped in Matte Olive

BMW M2 Competition Wrapped in Matte Olive

The German BMW dealership has agreed to put its own variation on the BMW M2 Competition. BMW Felix Botrop began their project of tuning with the very famous M2 Coupe. Initially, they dove in the pool of M Performance accessories and took some of the aero parts.

The front end has a carbon fiber lip that runs over the base of the bumper. You will instantly see a new carbon fiber diffuser moving to the rear. In addition, atop the trunk sits a huge racing wing. But this was crafted in-house as a custom piece according to the dealer

Such a great idea, of course, still requires some higher-end wheels. Thanks to BBS, their black 20-inch CI-R wheels are included in this BMW M2 Competition. A set of the famous KW Suspension V3 springs is next on the upgrade list. Those boost the consistency of the ride and the driving dynamics in particular.

Kudos to an Akrapovic slip-on exhaust system that is extremely popular in the BMW tuning world, the sound system is so great. Because all European M2 variants come with the mounted OPF, there needs to be an improvement in acoustics. And that is just what the Akrapovic device is going to offer.

As standard, the BMW M2 Competition comes with a six-in-line S55 3.0-liter engine, producing up to 405hp and 550 Nm of torque. An upgrade that takes the performance to 500hp and 650 Nm of torque is provided by AC Schnitzer. The supplementary control unit equipped under the hood maximizes the performance of the engine and accordingly improves the output.

At lower revs and gears the performance increase and the higher torque output is easily visible. In the mid range of the engine power band and gear selection, the increased horsepower needs to be identified.

Finally, there are two wraps in the pictures below: an olive matte wrap and a NATO wrap. In their own way, both are very fascinating, but it is the olive friend who is a little more subdued.
