[Video] BMW M8 Gran Coupe in Stelvio by Joe Achilles

There is a bit of a debate among European car enthusiasts about which incredible driving path is the best. The Stelvio Pass in Italy or the Transfagarasan Highway in Romania. The Romanian lane, frankly, is probably the better because it has a lot of corners while the Stelvio is mostly narrow. Although whichever you drive doesn’t really matter. They are both amazing and feature some of the world’s best driving. Joe Achilles hits the Stelvio in BMW M8 Gran Coupe in this new video. It’s an understatement to say that we’re jealous.

The Stelvio pass has a spectacular 47 km stretch of tarmac snacking down the Italian Alps, just to give an insight for those who are not familiar with it. There are 60 turns overall that can push even great sports cars to their limit, most of them are narrow. It is impressive that considering the size and weight of the BMW M8 Gran Coupe, it managed to pass the tight corner of the Stelvio. However, Achilles had to slow down through some of the tight turns quite a bit, as the M8 GC is too long. Also, the M8 can feel a little too large through some of Europe’s twistier mountain roads. But it’s not a canyon carver, the M8 Gran Coupe, it’s more of a straight-line grand tourer.

The BMW M8 Gran Coupe is definitely fast without question. You can only see how fast the scenery passes past the windshield of Achilles (I’m not going to say windshield, Brits, I’m not going to do it) when he steps on the gas. Even after supercars, the Gran Coupe M8 is surprisingly quick because of its personal experience.

The Stelvio Pass is more than a drive because it wraps in some of the finest landscapes in the world.
