[Video] Celebrating 50 years of racing: BMW M2 CS Racing media car

Last Saturday celebrates 50 years since the inaugural of the Nurburgring and the first overall victory of BMW in the race. In celebration, the BMW M2 CS Racing media car pays respect to the 19 wins of BMW. And its first victory in 1970. Professional racing drivers Tom Coronel (NED) and Dirk Adorf (GER) take the wheel of the M2 CS. Also, with them are journalists Christian Gebhardt and Niki Schelle. One of the recent overall winners at the Nurburgring, Augusto Farfus presents the design of the BMW M2 CS Racing media car. Farfus shared his experience in 2010 racing with the BMW M3 GT2 at the classic endurance race. He added that the race was tough with the kind of weather they had and with the gearbox threatening to leave them on track. However, he boasted that the amazing BMW M3 GT2 race car finished the race with a win. Further, he noted that more names of triumphant racers should be added on the list of overall winners this year for BMW.

Significantly, Farfus finished in sixth place last Friday with the BMW M6 GT3 powered by the BMW Team Schnitzer. Also, four BMW M6 GT3s will begin the race in the top ten. The BMW Junior team awed the crowd with their performance with the BMW M4 GT4. It qualified the  34th place as the quickest non-GT3 car. Further, it took a position in the SP8T class. On the other hand, the BMW M2 CS Racing media car took the 65th place. As a media car, this will be featured on live TV coverage. As well as in the media and social media activities of the drivers.
