[Video] The BMW M8 Competition against Shelby GT500 and Polestar 1

The BMW M8 Competition could be the Bavarian’s quickest vehicle ever made and most probably will secure its place in automotive history books. But it also comes with its own challenges. The BMW M8 Competition has to prove its value from time to time against all sorts of fast vehicles out there, along with the strongest and hybrid competitions. Today, we will see the M8 Competition to race against Shelby GT500 and Polestar 1 in this video.

The Motor1 team created a series of drag races, and they went about it uniquely. Through this, we will able to see which of these three cars is the fastest. They set the  Polestar 1 to race against the Shelby GT500 first. And nobody seems to be surprised by the result. The Swedish car generates 619 HP and 737 lb-ft and the heaviest and doesn’t have launch control. With this characteristic, it’s no surprise that it lost against the Ford.

The Motor1 team decided to race the winner against the BMW M8 Competition. The M8 Competition is the drag strip top choice as it comes with launch control and a powerful 625hp to play on, and it’s also an all-wheel-drive vehicle. It also showcases the M xDrive system that allows him to beat a lot of high-speed cars. And the same story goes here with the rear-wheel-drive Shelby GT500. Ford’s weak point is that it is a rear-wheel-drive.

The M8 Competition trample down the Shelby GT500 from the start. It is no match with the BMW as the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 which generates 760 HP.
