The 2021 ALPINA XB7 in Black Sapphire Metallic

The 2021 ALPINA XB7 is definitely the most lavish and classiest model offered by the Buchloe-based automaker. It sits at the top of the X7 lineup in the US, and it’s a total head-turner everywhere it goes.

2021 ALPINA XB7

This specific version is coated in a classy Black Sapphire Metallic color that perfectly suits the sections of the XB7. Many other automakers have quick and comfortable SUVs, but what makes the ALPINA XB7 stand out is it’s actually good to drive. Its steering is really great for such a bit of SUV, and its body control is wonderful for anything so tall and massive. It has more mechanical grip than anything its size has the right to have.

The power of the 2021 ALPINA XB7 comes from a 4.4-liter BiTurbo engine from the B7 limousine. The same tuning is applied; larger twin-scroll turbochargers modified intake and exhaust manifolds, extra water, transmission, oil coolers, and a new stainless steel exhaust system. All this combines to produce 612 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Thus, making it the most powerful ALPINA to present, even though it’s only a few ponies away.

The BMW and ALPINA claim that the XB7 is capable of flattening 0-60mph in just 4.0 seconds. And it can nail a quarter-mile in just a span of 12.6 seconds. The latest ALPINA XB7 is capable of reaching an electronically restrained 180mph.

For quicker reactions and smoother shifts, the ALPINA XB7 also comes with a revised 8-speed ZF-sourced gearbox transmission. It features an ALPINA-tuned xDrive all-wheel-drive system that showcases an electrically operated limited-slip rear differential.

Therefore you can play easily with XB7 on the road, particularly because the Buchloe engineers have provided ALPINA XB7 with custom-made suspension kinematics, geometries, and a two-axle air suspension, which keeps all this weight under control when hit.
